We offer a full fitting service with Gas Safe registered and HETAS registered engineers who work to the highest standards and all work complies with current regulations including building regulations.
Most of our fireplaces are made to order especially for you, so design, size and material can be unique to your home. Hearths can be made to measure to fit in existing carpet cut outs. Surrounds can be made to fit between current dado rails. We can also colour match wood to an existing piece of furniture.
We can help you design your own fireplace taking inspiration from our existing designs or using pictures and sketches.
By law, every working fireplace is required to have a flue in good condition. We test your flue by introducing smoke into the chimney. The flue run is checked to ensure no smoke leaks into any part of the building or adjoining flues. If there is a leak or gap in the chimney, which cannot be repaired, it is then necessary to line the flue. Lining is the safest solution to ensure a fully functional, safe flue.
A twin wall flue system is a flue that can be installed to allow the installation of a fire or stove where no flue is in existence or the flue is in the wrong place for your requirements.
All heating appliances that produce heat such as gas, oil and solid fuels, including wood, require enough fresh air from outside for complete combustion and to enable the flue/chimney to function correctly. Depending on the input/output of your appliance it may be necessary to fit a permanently open vent.
Chimney cowls are not fitted as standard unless the type of installation requires it. However, some properties can suffer from downdraught, rain ingress and problems with birds. In these cases we can recommend and fit a suitable product.
